Become a school social worker
with diverse deaf and hard of hearing children!
The US Department of Education has given Gallaudet University's Department of Social Work a $400,000 dollar grant to identify and train school social workers. This federal grant has helped to develop a School Social Work Specialization within the MSW Program. Graduates of the program bring expert knowledge and skills to the role of school social work with diverse deaf and hard of hearing children in both mainstream settings and in schools for deaf children. This federal grant allows us to further develop our School Social Work Specialization and provide financial support to students.
